unbelievable. haha. i stopped going to lawrence's blog for awhile coz it was super lame, went back today and it just got lamer. lol. but that being said, it was super funny. hahah. joker. dang i miss my o3 class. all the good ol' times. acting flowers for Algernon, after lunch bridge sessions, and all other random moments with crazy people like zh, ryan, cris, law, justin blah blah. dang miss it.
learning about memories in psyche.
Flashbulb memories- an episodic memory (the i remember when...memory) that you remember in EXACT detail due to the emotional response it stirs lah lah lah.
my real big flashbulb memory? rugby at the end of the school last year. fumbling zh's pass that could have won us the champion place. dnu why but yeh. flashbulb memory. i remember it in EXACT detail and it drives me mad. gahhh.
so realized that there are so many people that I havent talked to in a long while. ben, han, trent, many many more...bah. so heard that singapore is having a countdown dance again. no fair.

a little here, a little there. my debater's "bible"

this is a picture of us on the bunk boat ride...anyway, i was talking to nelson from ACJC, and denise frm NJ, updating myself on the debates scene. nelson was really impressed with Ben. not surprising, he has good identification and organization of points. NJ has really progressed. and that is good. the team has found its niche. knowledge, good identification and organization. our best trait, consistency and team dynamics. that enabled us to beat supposedly strong hwa chong last year despite our supposedly presentable but weak style. those who know me will know that I am all for style. it doesnt really matter what you say, its a matter of how you say it. I believe that I have at the very least decent if not a relatively good style. all these i credit to super coaches and seniors: Jon and David Pflug, Vishal, YOng Wei, Mich, MArk, Teck Wee, Yinli, Pinli, just to name a few. style has pulled me through and to me is the key element. If I win I win with style, and even if I lose, I go down in style. however as I said, NJ has found our strength thanks to good seniors too. I believe that with a little infusion of style, we would be really good. if I may be bold, perhaps better than the WSDC team of Ren Jie and Liki. Yes they are good but our brains are better than theirs I believe. I just feel so proud of how far NJ has gone.

and this is my korean teacher! like coincidence! we were wearing pink! xD great minds think alike. haha. then i went to church the next day and kandace was wearing pink too. haha. really great minds. okok choir class! later!

welcome to a random moment along CQ. haha. but so yeh. this is friends of THIMUN. I had my barker bro's kenneth, leroy and fred look me up. chilled at the lobby of my hotel and talked bout crazy stuff for a looong time. dang it has been long since i met them and it was good to catch up with them. they changed but yet are still the same. it was cool hanging out with them again. went out for dinner with sis, marcus, uncle philip and xiao
gu gu at swensens! haha. ice-cream and all xD then went to meet up with NJ peeps. I was laate. lost my wayy big time...so there was ryan, law, zh, justin, jac, emily, and liz. ryan got new specs, law looks as skinny and fast as he used to, zh looks less like a teddybear more like a tennis player, lol, justin looks like he runs 42km for fun now, emilyy uhh like she went on a diet, jac still as piglet, and liz...looks like a friggin refugee that have been starving to death. haha. i think slim and sexy is what they like to call it...but so i was late so had to treat them to dessert. lol. at bk. then went to bugis coz emily wanted to buy something and there i bumped into my shekou friends. coincidence no? or mayb its just BIG proof that singapore is small. anyway on that same day, i popped into church where they just finished seminary and institute grad. i love doing that. popping in unexpected. like the previous time and then this time. myra still looks like shes in p3, kandace finally admits that pink is hawt with her pink shirt, john looks like he grew taller. dang i miss em.
and so friends i got to know because of MUN. there was this cool malaysian dude from Ipoh, forgot his name. haha. melody and devvyy spent a lot of time with and they were retarded xD still are...and i got to know the krazy koreans better. haha. well, ok i should get to do more work done. mayb there will be a part 3. haha

THIMUN 1

So i think a THIMUN 09 post is in order. or maybe a few THIMUN posts with this being the first of the series. The last time I went for THIMUN was when i was what 13? That is equivalent to Sec 1, or Grade 7? I can proudly say that I did absolutely nothing then. Presented one truely lame Point of Information and that was it. But hey! I was young! and practically everyone there were juniors or seniors~! This time I managed to hold the floor for quite awhile, took the floor whenever I felt sleepy, made a few jokes here and there and wahla! best speaker of ECOSOC for whatever that is worth. One thing remained the same with this conference though, I had a 3rd World country. Somalia this time, Zimbabwe during the last conference. What does these 2 countries have other than a heck load of sand? I have no idea...
so it totally rawked being a senior in THIMUN coz you're actually respected as some form of authority in some matters. got interviewed, got on MUN TV and of course got to know a few new people, with melodyy and devvy being the funnest, kraziest, and cooolest. xD haha. don't let it get to your heads...xD of course the fact that they are Singaporeans help. ohh~! of course there were other Singaporeans there...tight short pants hwa chongers (sorry for the stereotype but 99% true no?) and well hwa chongers are nice people yehh but. lol...(again only for 99% mayb a little lesser) pompous people pho pink pey pow pit pall (haha. kk that was retarded). yehh. so they don't really count. the dance was fun. and funny if you see the hwa chong people try to dance (fyi I know I can't dance thats why I don't try...) and then there was this catholic high debater that I recognized who was so not in THIMUN, but crashed the dance again and thought that he could dance...well he saw me and his face turned color. like not even joking the room was dark and you could see his face go white...probably remembered how nj trashed his precious seemingly almighty cat high last year at JG's. I wanted to do just that ever since I saw Christiano and the other high-pitched voiced guy oh yeh Antiono? when I was in Barker. So eat that, hope loosing felt good (:
ok but less about social stuff, more serious stuff in this post...I participated in only a few topics

,rights of indigenous people and i think there is one more. why only these topics? coz these were the less boring ones of the group where there was some interesting oppositions (: Russia was way funny so was Algeria. Algeria never wanted the debates to end, kept trying to extend debate time and that almost got him killed. JOKE. haha. he was a way cool indian duude. well i dont really feel like discussing bout those issues now xP so chowz and on to THIMUN part 2
