long post on youth conference. pictures at a later date. hah

back from youth conference! and it was reallyyy awesome. i mean i knew it would be awesome, but not THAT awesome. well so day one, had ice-breaker games. shared some ambaressing things about my self. played 2 truths and a lie. i got my black belt when i was eight. i wore a skirt and acted in a play as a girl once (charlie gorden! aha) i went surfing before. (: go figure. got a new name Maria von Trapp. for full story, ask. haha. but well learnt some interesting stuff bout people too! haha. hilarious stuff bout jonny and rachel (: aww. cute stuff actuallyy. haha.
we then had a fireside by a GA. Elder Perkins of the 70's. and he just came from general conference in utah. Pres. Eyring went up to him and asked him where is his next assignment. He told Pres Eyring that he was going to china for YC. Pres Eyring simply said. Will you tell them that we love them? and that we are always praying for them? and ask them to pray for us too. and you know, even when i am typing this, shivers are going through me, and such a great feeling of love. but so! highlights! there was a dance that night which was epic, and awesome (: enjoyed the dances. REALLY enjoyed it (:
over to hk the next day. got stopped by customs coz i dont look ANYTHING like the picture in my passport. haha. srsly. so went to the temple the next day and words cannot describe how great i felt. the feeling of knowing that you worked real hard in life to keep on the straight and narrow and are worthy to enter the house of the Lord, worthy to participate in Holy ordinances. it was just great. it is something i never want to lose.
had exchanges with the missionaries after the temple trip. went to teach this sri lankan family. simple family. whole house was literaly a 3m by 3m room. didnt speak much english. but the Spirit was just wonderful. again i'm just so grateful that i am able to feel the Spirit, and His love.
later on had workshops. Sister Alden, this wonderful old lady drilled something in my mind. "When you get married in the temple and have children..." haha. it was something her mom drilled into her too.and she shared it with us. well of course the story is a lot longer but this is summarized. haha. when i get married in the temple and have children... (: temple marriage is what i'm having nothing less.
you know i'm actually happy that i'm here in china. with the epic and awesome shenzhen youth (: i know that i am supposed to be here. was rather clear in my patriachal blessing that i should. and i have no regrets. none at all. in fact, i would now regret if i hadnt come here. got to know a few special people (yeahh you are special Xp) and it is just great. now that 2 of me friends in church are leaving, me sad :( bah i'm being spastic again. but yeahhh. i owe you ben. we youth will always have each other though. (: we are never alone.
